Day 2 is winding down, and honestly? We’re tired. Good tired.
If you’ve ever worked a trade show, you know the feeling. Lots of standing. Lots of talking. Sore feet. But also—lots of genuine interest. And that part never gets old.
Here’s what people actually stopped to ask us about at R+T Asia 2026.
Different Weather, Different Problems
Every market is different. We spent Day 2 of R+T Asia 2026 matching solutions to climates.
Heavy rain regions (Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines)
They don’t ask about sun. They ask: “Does water pool on top? Where does it drain?” We showed them our gutter system. They nodded.
Coastal areas (Vietnam, Australia, Middle East)
Salt air destroys cheap aluminum. We walked them through our powder-coat process. One guy said: “I’ve seen cheap blinds rust in 18 months. What’s your warranty?”
Hot, dry climates (Middle East, Southern Europe)
UV is the enemy. We pulled out our fabric samples and let them feel the difference.
Snow regions (Northern Europe, Canada)
Yes, people buy pergolas where it snows. They care about load-bearing. We showed them our reinforced frame options.
Not scripted. Just real problems, real solutions.
One Conversation Stood Out
A distributor from Europe walked by, glanced at our louvered pergola, and kept walking. Then he stopped. Came back.
He asked: “Is this actually waterproof?”
I said: “Close it. I’ll pour water on top.”
He laughed. Then he closed it. So I poured.
Not a drop came through.
He said: “I’ve tested five suppliers this year. Only two passed. You’re one of them.”
That’s not a sales pitch. That’s just what happened.
Last Day Tomorrow
R+T Asia 2026 wraps up tomorrow (May 29). If you’re at the show and haven’t been to H1 D15 yet, come by.
We’ll have coffee. We’ll have answers. And if you want to test the waterproof claim yourself, bring a water bottle.
